23rd July

SMS-es from friends whom I don't get birthday wishes from. Surprise birthday present(s) from him. That's how I spent my birthday this year. Rather different from last year because there's 1 additional person to pamper me and I got to blow a cake!

Alas! It seemed that I haven't been able to blow a birthday cake for a couple of years. Thank you, my dear for the surprise cake. :) Really didn't expect it coming. It was the perfect ending to my birthday.

Celebration seemed to have started on last Friday. Bintan trip costs us more than $500. Accommodation was $260. Spa was $350. Meals cost about $200. I got the DKNY Be Delicious Eau De Parfum, finally. Thank you very much. :) The entire holiday experience was nice. Bintan is a no-brainer place and the 3 days that we were there were practically eat-sleep-eat-sleep-spa-sleep-eat-sleep. So you see, I enjoyed myself thoroughly. Haven't been able to let my hair down for so long. No phone calls, no emails, no designers, no clients. Free from the world.

I will be flying to Bali on Thursday with the company for our company retreat. Oh yes, retreat with the monkeys. As if I don't see them enough, on a daily basis back home. Sheesh.

All in all, thanks to everyone who called and SMS-ed me. Of course, not forgetting you. :)

It's Like...

Extreme happiness and excitement yesterday for something awaits me today. I am blogging from home because I am stucked in the rain and cannot get out. It's a pity because I woke up earlier than usual and planned to hit office earlier than usual. Sheesh. I hope everything will go smoothly later and I await the (good) news.

Cellmate is starting work today and I wish her all the best in her new job and a bright start. However, I don't see how the weather is helping her. Anyhow, please, have free flow of you-know-what when you go for your brand induction later. For my sake, at least? Hahaha!!

Tomorrow's the start to my little getaway. Rather, tonight as I'd be busy packing and getting geared up for the trip.

Passion vs Money Part 2. :)

Money vs. Passion.

It's the battle between money and passion. Which will be crowned the ultimate champion?

I'm really torn. Not that I've any offers on hand but it's good to think before you set out to do it. Right?

I hoped to start off this week with at least a(nother) calm week. However, due to my blunder in not being able to tell a good (white) lie, I landed myself in some heads-on collision with the duo again. Sighs. BIG sighs!

I just hope they won't ask me to go into the room and start yet another long and gruelling session. I'm really apologetic about this.

Meanwhile, i am really really hoping that Thursday will come quick and voila! I'm off to Bintan the next day.

July Is My Favourite Month.

Because it's my birthday month.
Because it's a holiday month.
Because I like July.
Because of the 2% GST increase. (BLEH! As if!)
Because it's Hong Kong's 10th Year of Handover (Seriously, I don't care.)

Ok, as you've seen, July is my favourite month because of the first 2 statements. I'm excited because I have an interesting and fun July lining up.

Next weekend is the routine errands + Transforming weekend. July 14th will see me back in BP with my 2 nincompoopy friends, trying to celebrate farewell + birthday and trying to do away with MYbirthday present. Eu, that is wrong, ok? July 20th sees me in Bintan, admist the lush and serene greenery. July 26th will see me in Bali, (hopefully) having fun.

Wow! I love July! *Embrace*
