Food For Thought.

Where will I be when I'm 34? The (roadshow) Captain said that daddy lives in a sizeable house when he's 34; while the Captain himself has yet to buy a house. That sets me thinking, I'm only about 12 years away from being 34. Where will I be in my career? Where is my future? I don't see anything encouraging yet.

Job hunting has been going on. I've really tried very hard! e coffee is back from Canada. This is adding pressure to me since she's embarking on her career, like me too. Coffee is a nickname everyone gave her (I'm the milk) because she was tanned and I was fair when we were young. She's my senior (my dad's cousin) who is also 22. Very complicated relations, I know. I really wonder when the comparison will stop.

A friend's mum passed away of breast cancer. That scares me. One minute, she was recuperating. Another minute saw her passing away. What life throws us, it's really amazing.

The boys-turned-men are flying off to Australia; namely Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne next week. An adventure of a lifetime for the dudes ha! Like zhiggy said, "It's like Harold and Kumar going to White House." Indeed, have a blast, boys! Most importantly, I'm expecting my presentS!! Note the capital s. *Glees*

So, pw is flying off too. I think I'd miss her quite a bit because she's one whom I can share quite a fair bit of problems and troubles (and not forgetting our gossip) with. I think in many aspects, we are quite the same. We share the same thinking, same thoughts. Only in some aspects. And she never fails to surprise me with her thoughts in certain matters, too. I'm losing an intellectual cellmate to Australia. The government better appreciate the talent in her! :D pw, you're going to be a foreign talent!!

On a happier note, tracy is coming back this Saturday. Ends my misery a little. Always the encouraging yet honest buddy, I've begun to appreciate this girl a lot more for her wisdome. Though we both can be silly many a times, especially with ys.

But hey, ALWAYS retain the child in us. You never know when it's useful. The world doesn't stop simply because your own world stops.

Play a Game: Spot the Difference

15 hours ago, I was still up, in awe of the rapid transition of technology. What was efficient 5 years ago is now "rubbish". I was printing my resumes, couple of documents and surfing the WWW for contact details. I wasn't even surfing for leisure!! It took me 5 looooong hours on the old desktop at home; when I could have finished the damn thing in 2.5 hours, max. Pff.

A week ago, I was contemplating the trust I place in someone close to me. How can a person whom I've trusted for the last 21 years of my life turned into a horrid person who spins truths. I felt so disgusted. It suddenly hit me that it's either she's changing with her age or I've grown up and have my own mind. I never doubted her words till 3 years ago, I noticed the change in her. What is it with women above certain age and are still single? *Shudders*

A week ago, too, I was wondering why a friend is so out of touch, out of sync with us now. She never bothered to reply our sms and calls. Despite us hounding her very closely. "Getting from bad to worse." "We're at the bottom of her list." Those were the exact words of 2 of the pals in the clique. It dawned to me as if we were just surpassing beings in her life. Whenever she needs us (read: exam times) we'll be at the top of her list. Other times, it's the "Entertain only when I'm bored List." Why? I thought after all that we've been through, all the nonsense and what-nots, we'll at least be close enough.

Enough of digress. Time for a car wash session.

Saturday. Sunday. Monday. Tuesday. Wednesday. Today.

Saturday - DMC '04 Class of 2005 Gathering. Well, ok, only about 10 turned up. Original plan was Indochine but later it turned out to be Coffee Bean at Boat Quay. It doesn't matter where we meet, it's the company that matters. Yeap. Had great fun catching up with the martian, val, stef, yani and rin. Pictures are here.

Sunday - Home Sweet Home!! Slept like a pig.

Monday - Anxiety and worries for the road show at shop the next day; followed by frenzy splash in the pool. Coach made us swim endless laps, as if we're going for Olympics. Hurhhh!! Anticipation for the event next day.

Tuesday - Road show starts. Had to be on feet all day long. Long long day indeed.

Wednesday - Aching all over. Road show continues. Apprehension sets in when sales is way below target by 1 p.m. Sighs! Luckily by 3 p.m., sales picked up. Close to 5 p.m., people flocked in like there's no tomorrow. Haha! I ain't complaining. =D Real work starts when it's time to close up. The stock that has to be kept was tremendous.

Today - Called one of the agency and asked about my application. Apparently they are re-structuring right now and not eager to bring in newbies. There goes my hope. *Piak* just like that. Looks like I've to launch into job-hunt session real fast and with a blast. Sighs!

I don't understand why I "connect" well with older folks. When I say older, I mean above the age of 35. I cannot "click" well with those of my age. It was like that in IF. It's the same for the past 2 days. Why, do I look like "old auntie"?!!

And, what is it in aloof men that makes them attractive? Is it because it makes knowing them challenging? First, it's t. Now, it's g. Anyway, g's probably gonna be passe in a month. Today's the last I see him. Just as well. I hate guys who like to play cool. Simply detest it. Shoot yourselves, men!!

Next up, the Hitachi seminar. Urgh! Yet to get brief from dad. Well, at least I'm doing something that's related to what I studied. I pray and hope that I get a job within the next two months. *Cross fingers and toes and legs and hands.*

Urgh!! I cannot control the magnet in my heart.

Freedom Means...

I have the entire house to myself.
I don't have to close the door when I change.
I can dance around in towel or naked, if I want to.
I don't have anyone to nag at me.
I can stay out all night or come back late.
I can blast my music atrociously .
I can stay up till as late as I deem fit.
Which explains the 2 entries within 2 hours.

BUT it also means I have to...

Settle my own meals. (No more going home to a warm home-cooked meal.)
Do my own laundry.
Iron clothes myself.
Clean kitchen after a blast inside.
Worst of the worst, the housework!
And I'm proud to announce it's "Housework Day" today!

Bleh!

Old Habits Die Hard.

True indeed. Some things just never change. Like cut6 is still the same ol' bunch of procrastinators when deciding where to go for dinners, holidays and when. Result? Never get to it (the holiday). *Throws a glare at pw and fy!*

Thought the BBQ was surely coming tomorrow. So met up with fy and martian to buy the food; or so I thought. In the end, they decided to cancel the BBQ and proceed to have dinner. Dinner became a chill-out session at Indochine, Clarke Quay (or is it Boat Quay? So confusing!). Had slight reluctance to go 'coz I wanted to go home tomorrow night. However, after seeing the attendance list, I don't think I should miss this "the last in this decade class gathering" (as martian said). If only, I had more cash. I'm certain I'd enjoy myself thoroughly. Urgh!

Money is the root of ALL evil.

I'm Not an Ikea Kid.

Ikea shopping frenzy with shum this afternoon. Thanks, shum for helping me all the way. It looks as if she's the one buying the chest drawers and not me. She was fixing up for me and all I did was to help her get the tools. I thought I'm quite a DIY kiddo but no, she was better. So, THANKS a million, shum!! =)

Went back to school yesterday for Connect '05 and lunch with Rajan. Thanks, king, for the lunch. We'll most certainly go back and harass you. Meeting with the lecturers was great. Felt bad when we were talking to the Director of SB; him standing and we were sitting. Oh, thanks for your chocs, Ms Low!! =)

Like she said, my status now is "yaya". The other agency hasn't called me though I emailed yesterday night. Looks like I'm going to call them tomorrow. A note to companies: if you think you get satisfaction trying to stall my time, I get greater satisfaction calling you at least, twice everyday! Mmph!!

I feel like a "yaya papaya". Shall start on my ice-cream now. Yay!

Super Duper me.

As if I am not pitiful enough, what with hiding from the GSS and being a jobless dude, my camera's battery charger had to spoil on me. The best thing I heard yesterday? "Oh the battery charger is not under warranty." Stupid ass! He had to complete the sentence with a "Haha-you-stupid-woman" tone. I cannot recall whether I was told that the battery charger is included in the warranty or not. Bah! It means I've more items to add to the "Must Get List". Currently, it only consists of Taufik's VCD and Backstreet Boys's album. Looks like they have to be shelved 'coz the battery charger ain't cheap. Damn!

Lunch with the king and pw, fy & lq. In Staff Centre in school. Looking forward to meeting them coz it's been a long long time. Of course, I hope to get my Lovers in Paris OST! =P Note to fy: Leave the CD alone, let's find some other motivation!! I still love the "I give you a treat if i get a job first." Haha!!

Reason why I am up so early is because it's a wet morning and I don't gel in well with rain. I adore sunny days.

Never Gone.

Yes! My super hero is back! They were never gone in the first place! Was on a long break and now they're back with another album. However, the poor me, is so broke that I have to save up for a long time before buying their album. I haven't got my hands on Taufik's Karaoke VCD. Sighs!

Many thanks to fy for buying me the Lover In Paris OST. Thanks a lot! *hugs*

I'm back to the island. Nothing much to do here except going online and sleeping. Worst still, all expenses on me, myself and I. Had it not been Connect '05 in school and the class BBQ, I'd still be hibernating back home.

GSS is going on but the poor me is hiding from it. I need donation! Kind souls, help me out!!!

The Alternative.

Won't it be good to work for daddy? I have the following reasons to justify:

(1) I will have a car to drive around.
(2) No need to worry about overdue housework.
(3) Go home to a comfortable home, with no meals to worry about.

3 reasons are 'nuff to send a whirlwind in my heart and head. Why not, since daddy has a way for me to get out of the bond? Can consider.

Oh, and if any of you out there wants to vent your frusfration and anger by shouting as loud as you want, go for those scary 180 or 360 degree rides at a fun-fair or carnival. It's good steaming outlet.

Pff! Disgruntled me at work again.

The Decision.

"It's ultimately the fit. I may not be able to learn much from this job...." Whatever you say 'coz you're the decision maker.

Strangely enough, I do not feel very defeated and I am not even crying over it. I'm only feeling "sian" because it means that I've to start looking for more job opportunities. So the turmoil starts, again.

There's a reason behind everything. Perhaps I will be better off somewhere. Perhaps, there shouldn't be perhaps.

After So Long...

I'm still eating. Sleeping. Eating. Sleeping.

The routine doesn't change much. Nothing more, nothing less. Ok, perhaps eat more. =( And not forgetting staring into my cellphone.

It was the last straw when I called the company on Monday. Will give them the chance to call me back else I will take it that I am rejected.

Bumming around for so long a time has become part of me and it's not doing good to my job-hunting. Slight pressure and nagging from grandmother has come in. "Don't wait already. You've gotta look for another job. Cannot drag for too long."

I dreamt of my cellphone ringing and it was from the company. Mum said I think too much. Yes, think too much. I also dreamt of meeting Taufik at restaurant. We greeted and I gave him a big bear hug. Wahahahaha! That must be the best dream ever!!!

I have no directions in life currently. I am lost. Anyone cares to be my compass?

Back Home.

Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleep.
Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleep.
Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleep.
Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleep.
