Christmasy Time.

Friday was gathering with the old polymates and catch up was fun. Saturday was shopping day and so was Sunday. Haha!! Sapu-ed shoes, jeans, denim skirt and a new Olympus camera (for home, unfortunately).

Saturday was shopping at VivoCity then Charlotte's Web with colleague j & her bf. Thanks to colleague tc's generosity, I had the tickets. Haha. VivoCity is huge. Either that, I was taking my own sweet time I didn't have time to finish combing the area. After dinner was cable car ride and guess what, teo? I managed to catch the Magical Fountain at Sentosa! Without prior planning!! Happened to be able to walk in and I stood at the front part. Wah! Like reliving childhood.

Sunday was countdown with big shopping bags at Clarke Quay. Not really countdown but just sat at Coffee Bean and enjoyed the ambience around. After which walked around, taking some pics and then midnight movie at The Cathay.

I swear I never want to challenge myself for another midnight movie again! I slept through some scenes and (I think) wasted the ticket. :( Got home only at 5 a.m.

Obviously, being the oblivion me, I'd like to sleep as much as possible today. Planned to continue shopping but after doing grocery shopping with aunt sp, I felt so nua and tired. In the end, just a simple dinner at my place.

Ha, so to sum my pressies this year:

1) Aromatheraphy burner
2) Adidas jacket
3) Some flower nail art which the HOA gave. -_-

2007 Goals.

I know I should probably list this down when the clock strikes 12 on 1st Jan, 2007. In any case, who says you can't list down you goals as soon as this? So, here goes:

1. Pulau Redang
2. Jeram Besu
3. Bangkok
4. Salsa class
5. Better career
6. Make things work between us

Seems like there're many things but I think that's how you live your life. Have goals so that you can work your way to them.

Long, Long Time.

It's been quite some time since I last updated. How are you, out there? Yes, YOU. Though I don't have that many readers, I assume I still have one or two.

Office Christmas present exchange is happening on 21st and I have to buy present for a colleague. It's time to draw up my Christmas list proper and do shopping altogether, one shot.

Work has been quite a rollercoaster but the ride is not too bad, I guess. I could be so free for the past two weeks and I practically am begging for things to drop on me. The next minute, I could be running about and staring into the computer for a good whole day + overtime. How unpredictable.

I'm feeling like drowning in a pool of blood. My own blood. I feel like I've stabbed myself and I'm bleeding to death. Hurr.

Confirmed.

It's confirmed. I have stupid & crazy neighbour. That bastard will blast his music in the middle of the night, like now and sings karaoke like nobody's business but never realize that his voice sucks BIG BIG time.

Of course, clever me has my way of drowning his voice which is to blast my own music loudest than his! Fark theat bastard. Smelly idiot nincompoop.

Hope the police find their way to his home and give him some love letters! Hah! Yes, say I'm evil but I cannot help it with these kinda people. Grrr!!!

Never Never Land.

Can't we all live in Never Never Land where no one grows up? Kids have the best in life and they are the most beautiful thing in our different stages of lives.

I hate making decisions. Mum used to decide for me - what to eat, where to go, what to wear, etc. I never had to crack my head over these issues. I don't mean that I'm cracking my grey matter over these small issues. Of course, there are bigger issues to worry about when you grow up.

Decisions concerning your career and life. Ha, of course these are the 2 things that are most worrying on my list. Especially career. I feel like a headless & clueless chicken, banging my way around.

Hmm. I need to find my head back.

Life Is Good.

Went Chinatown & Tanjong Pagar area to check out the dance studios with ah teo earlier. Both has its pros & cons. Hmm hard to decide. At the very least, we have taken the next step in enquiring at different studios. :) We're planning to start next year, in January because I am so broke.

Spent a bomb on the first day of the month. Going to kelong with friends over the Christmas weekend. Christmas exchange later. Money, money, money. Broke, broke, broke. But happy, happy, happy.

Mixed Like A Rojak.

I'm feeling like the fried dough fritters, pineapples, cucumbers and other ingredients in the rojak. I feel like I am being tossed and turned in the mixing bowl and do not know if the dish will turn out tasty.

My stomach is having a turbulence air inside and my heart thumps so hard I think I might pass out anytime.

I've to be sure if is this what I'm after or am I committing myself to a hasty decision. Why must adults have pangs of worries sometimes in this (stupid) world?

Grr.

Spend a Little.

Today was a bad day because the newsletter that went so smoothly has a mistake that it's partially both my designer & my fault. It was a technical glitch, no doubt but the fact that the digital proof came back to us and we missed the errors. It's not too happening but sort of spoilt my day. Only consolation is boss didn't come down hard on us. Instead, she has to talk to client and try to remedy the situation.

On the other hand, an impulsive $60 splurge at Giordano and $200 at Origins makes me a happy happy girl. Very happy I sms-ed and called colleague k and even she could sense the happiness in my voice. Yesh, yours truly is very happy.

After going through all the unkindness and unhappy series of unfortunate events, spending that money eases me. Self-indulgence, self-pamper. Yay yay!

Digusted, Deception & Despair.

First of all, my dear readers, please DO NOT be deceived by the ooh-so-nice-and-charming-and-gorgeous Korean males species. Unless they're renowned actors or singers. I had a (what I'd term) beastly experience with a group of them on the bus, on my way home. These young men, obviously has no manners and doesn't know what is common courtesy. Let me quote some examples:

1) There's no space in the bus anymore and I had to hold on to the railing for safety reasons. Boy A had to squeeze and intrude into whatever space my hand could hold on to, with his stupid flabby stomach. Hello, as if I am not disgusted by your face, I had to endure your flabby round thing.

2) If they do not communicate for a milisecond, they'd die and vanish into thin air. Hence, no matter how packed, they MUST talk and shout across to one another. When they're barely 50cm away.

3) If you had to move to the rear of the bus or further down the aisle, open you bloody mouth, say, "Excuse me." Simple, isn't it? Instead, they love pushing and stepping on yours truly's feet! You have to talk so desperately but you can't say that simple phrase. Irritating bastards.

4) So many dirty & disgusted glances were thrown in their direction, by me, who else?! And they still didn't get the meaning.

5) Knowing it's packed & for the convenience and safety of others, stop pushing around with your silly old-fashioned school bags. They're not LV, so obviously when your truly got hit by them, I'm not pleased. I wouldn't even know where you place them, you sick idiots.

Sheesh, there's only one phrase to sum it up: dirty, rude imbeciles.

I was in despair yesterday because I got the bad news from boss. No, she didn't throw a letter at me. Instead, she told me the FMCG account that I am working on has turned their backs on us and gone back to their former global agency. Huh?! After all the hard work I put in for a new product launch. After all the trouble of getting models & talents & co-ordinating? What the...

Initially, I was servicing four accounts. One has decided to drop us. Another is doing global realignment hence quiet. The third is using other agencies concurrently and the work we're doing seems lesser. The last is the main client of company, the retainer client. But, I've gotten so familiar that I'm able to juggle the deadlines well.

Hence, your truly now is shaking legs in office for the past 2 weeks. It's scary and I'm green with envy when I see my two other colleagues so busy. I can only sit at my workstation and clean up my files.

This is getting on my nerves!!

First.

Yesterday was the first (in something) for me. Didn't turn out the way I expected but hmm never mind. fy's words were soooooo encouraging that I kept laughing throughout whenever I think of her. Haha!!

Saturday is almost over and I'm just lazing at home with relaxing music playing in the background, a (good) book in my hands and of course, with the laptop in front of me. :)

I'm contented. At the same time, I'm also confused. Haha.

Feel The Love.

On medical leave today. Nose is badly congested, phlegm is building up and I've no energy left to even get up from bed till an hour ago. I'm touched by the care & concern that my friends show.

First it's colleagues who called me and passed the phone around. Of course, the initial intention was to ask me about some things at work but still, nice feeling.

Secondly, it's fy. I'm so so touched and feel blessed to have a friend like her. I always hear aunt sp has good girlfriends who will sacrifice their time and they're all very nice to her. I never thought I'd have such girlfriend till fy said she'd visit me me at my home tonight and buy me porridge. So touched. Yes, I know. That's what friends are for. I will always remember this line for the song with the same title was the one that made me teared uncontrollably when we were parting for our internships 2 years ago.

Thirdly, it's another friend. Thanks for the care & concern. :)

Client vs Boss.

Client : It's ok. Don't worry about the meeting tomorrow. Rest well.
Boss : HAR!? You're not coming tomorrow? Cannot la...
Client : Have a good rest, k. Don't push yourself too hard.
Boss : I hope you can make it for the meeting tomorrow morning.

For your general info, yours truly is down with a bad throat and flu. So bad is the throat that I cannot talk, I've to sms my clients, get them to talk to my designer(s) or MSN with them. My colleagues even said they thought they heard a male in the room when I attempted to talk. What the...

And your truly's boss is pushing me to hell by asking me to go to the meeting. Of course, there are more than what I typed in the above scenario. Like "I don't know if I can follow through and there might be things that I don't know and I need to ask you."

Hello, then why do you want us to cc you in ALL our emails? Then why do you want to tag along for new briefs with me whan you cannot follow through?

So easy for you to shit on us and we help you clean them, huh? With bosses like these, who needs enemies? Man...

Of course, to credit my kind client. With clients like that, I am so assured and feel deeply appreciated. Well, having said all that, I'd like to end off with "GOOD NIGHT!"

Time to hit the pillow. ;)

The Search Stops.

The Search stops for now. I feel that my quality of life is picking up. :) Yay! Friday evening was impromptu shopping and movie and after-movie-coffee-till-late-night with colleague py. Haha, we're known as the laughing gas(es) in office. Once we start, we can't stop. Both of us are the evilest of the evils and meanest of the meanies. :P Fun, fun, fun.

ah teo is keen on salsa classes too and we're in the midst of deciding. :) Swimming with that woman later in the evening. Too bad, she doesn't want the sun.

And something (good, I guess.) happened during my coffee time with py on Friday/ Saturday. It happened a tad faster than I thought it'd be.

I'm enjoying my life a lil' more now. Yay yay.

Time Of The Year.

Every year at this time, since 7 years ago, I'll crack my head what to get for your birthday-cum-Christmas-cum-New Year present. However, I realized I actually since 5 years ago, I need not think so hard coz you are no longer here.

Gotten over your departure. Don't worry. Hope you haven't forgotten that there's a friend like me who still remembers you, no matter where you are or whether you can hear or feel it.

The lil' joy that I am having now, I am sure you'd be equally excited as well. Take care, my friend.

*More updates on my happy Friday evening*

Bombastic?

I got a message from Friendster that reads:

"how to pronounce ur name. ur name beri boombastic, hi, nice to noe u, my real name is decocohotspicy cuttlefish."

No, I don't use my real name on Friendster. But I never thought that is bOOmbastic. The name you give is totally ... cuttlefish-y!

Sets me laughing.

SY Can Cook.

Look! Not only Yan can cook. SY can cook (too)! My pot of spaghetti. Mind you, we didn't use the Prego's ready-made sauce. We made the tomato sauce from scratch!! It's yummy I could just eat it on its own! Hee. Aunt sp hosted a spaghetti lunch on Saturday and I was involved. Wah, tedious. Got the ingredients on Friday night. Luckily Cold Storage at Holland V is 24 hours. We prepared till 3.30am. Ok, we started at about 12 midnight. Nevertheless, I've passed spaghetti test! :))

Life Lesson.

I've learnt to never live life with too much hope. The higher is your hope, the greater is your fall. And the fall is pain and disappointing.

The Search.

Sorry for the hiatus. Been searching for myself and my life. Tried to do some self-reflection but was lazy. Still am lazy. But still trying. -_- What the heck, what I just said didn't make much sense, isn't it?

Anyway, ah teo has asked me along for salsa dance class. Great! Finally! I have someone to share my interest with. Only problem now is to look for affordable lessons & find time.

The lazy me is finally (trying) to make more effort to move my fats away. Going swimming (later) and hopefully it's a good start to my healthy regime.

I am still a little lost. Sighs. This can be quite infuriating.

Stagnance.

I need to seriously review myself in 2 aspects - work and personal life. Actually, I don't have many aspects in my life. I realize that my love for my work is dead. I don't know how and don't know when it started. I was chatting to the customer service person from SPH and I realized I'm just here. Not moving forward and not falling back (thankfully).

I think I need a break from work. Need to seriously recharge. Need a real getaway from the hustle bustle of office and from clients. Need to not think and worry about anything for the time being. Don't tell me that I just came back from a holiday in KL. For your info, that is more like a shopping trip and like it or not, shopping trips are stressful.

I feel lost. Shit.

My Firsts.

There were many firsts last weekend. Started with my first Deepavali lunch at uncle P's house in Seremban. The puree was really really delicious. So yummylicious I rate 9 out of 10. The remaining 1 point is due to its lack of crisp as it turns cold. It must be eaten piping hot.

Saturday saw my first Levi's jeans since I turned adult. My last pair was 15 years ago and I can tell you, I didn't know it was a Levi's till I hit puberty and grew out of that pair. Only did I realize it was a good pair of Levi's till I saw it on my sister. Tsk tsk. Anyway it was a good buy because after converting back to SGD, it only cost $118 and it was the new Lady Style that I bought.

Also bought accessories, lingerie and makeup and a pair of heels. I was supposed to get a pair of black heels but heck, didn't. Instead, saw a pair of pink one and grabbed it coz it's cheap. Only RM35! Tell me, how do I resist such temptations?

Anyway, tickets to Phantom of the Opera next year has been bought. YAY! I am excited. My first play in Esplanade. So "atas"! :P

Could not get back to Singapore yesterday because of my (first) stupidity. Missed the bus. I thought my bus was scheduled at 3.30 but hell, no. When I opened the ticket at 3.10pm, only did I realize the bus was supposed to go off at 3pm. Heck! In the end, had to take cab back this morning.

Really, so many firsts.

New Blast for the New Working Week.

Visited my hair stylist yesterday with shum and I came back with a (slightly) newer style and a new colour. Great, I like it! :) She went home with a better-managed hair (I hope?). Hee hee.

Tomorrow is another new working week. Feel that the days have flew by and weeks just bypass me. Never feel like this before. Is it because I've work to busy myself with, friends to keep me by the bay?

Past one to two weeks were good because I managed to squeeze in time for friends and my life.

Uncle's wife gave birth to a baby girl 4 days ago and I was amazed and terrified of the small wonder because I've never seen such a small baby. In the past, I can only see my siblings that small through the glass in the hospital. Now, I see the baby girl without anything between us. It's just weird.

Time crawl by when I have nothing to do. Time crawls by on Sundays which is good because that meant I can enjoy more oblivion hours and more sleeps and naps. Naps are good. They're energy boost. :)

First.

Colleague t pointed out my FIRST white hair this evening. It's a BIG blow to me because I inherited my dad's hair which has the characteristics below:

1. oily
2. fine
3. skimpy (I say skimpy because I have very little hair)
4. brownish in colour (Discipline mistress always questioned my hair colour back in secondary & primary schools)

Seeing the above, daddy doesn't have a strand of white till now. He's over 45. But his girl here has one! What the...! I always kept quiet when some of my friends lament that they have white hair, etc. I just zip up, you know! Now?

Tell me how heart-breaking can this get. I don't have much crowning glory left and the bit that's left is gradually changing. Already don't have much hair. White hair grows out, I pluck, what hair do I have left?!?!?!

Restless Start.

Super restless at work today. Didn't feel like working and got so fidgety throughout the day. Even playing games online didn't help kill boredom. Not that I have so much free time but I just didn't feel like moving a limb. Much less talk. Temper was short and almost flew all over the office. Must have woke up at the wrong side of the bed.

You, Me & Dupree was quite a disappointment but there was no choice as we've booked the ticket yesterday. Hmm if not for Kate Hudson, I wouldn't think twice.

I so badly need cash because I plan to visit my hair stylist next Saturday, going KL for a spree in 2 weeks' time and plan to get a new laptop next March. All these need $$$.

On the other hand, I've got something exciting waiting for me next March or April other than the PC fair. *Gleeful smile*

My Weekend.

This weekend was spent in a very nice manner. Haven't had such nice & happy weekend in ages. Friday was dinner at Cha Cha Cha, Mexican restaurant and then drinking with fei, frog & (boyf) jasper, shum and teo at C.H.I.J.M.E.S. Hoegaarden is oh-so-smooth. Nice finish to my Friday-night-Saturday-dawn.

VivoCity was a disappointment when only half of the mall is open and there were so many people. The management's own people were irritating going on some mobile thingie and doing some quirky dance. To and fro Harbourfront and VivoCity made us very tired. Eventually j went home and the 3 of us headed to Chinatown and I got a top and bottom and finally retired to Spinelli's and then dinner "feast" in a hawker centre.

In the end, no feast because Hokkien mee was nowhere in sight and popiah was finished. Such a big hawker centre, only has ONE pathetic popiah stall. Stupid!

Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable weekend and here I am now, retiring to my bed.

Some Things Never Change.

Had MSN multiple parties conversation with 3 of the cut6 yesterday night. I realized that some things never change. For example:

1. comatosezzz never fails to be alert.
2. comatosezzz is easily cheated.
3. We can still pull off cheating tricks despite cellmate, ma nee princess and me being apart.
4. We still embrace each other like yesteryears. (BLEK! This sounds disgusting!)
5. We still remember each other's birthdays.
6. We are awaiting for cellmate's return to resume cut6's idiosyncrasies.

Hey, that's cut6's 6 reasons for you! :)

I am blooging so early in the morning because I have a super early appointment with client at 9.30 am. Yes, it's super early by my standard. I'd normally fix it at 10am though the client's 15 mins away from my home. Hee. :P

However, this client is new. It's the existing client's colleague whom was referred to us. Not sure if this is good or bad. Sighs. Alright, got to get ready.

Till the next post...

A Slight Improvement.

From being very late despite the 30mins allowance, I managed to get into office early yesterday morning at 9.15am!! :) A great improvement from my normal 9.35am - 9.45am. To top it off, my designer, w who is in by 9.10am isn't even in office yet! Yay!! Double yay!!

zeroimpact, I need no wake up call(s) now. Hee. The air in this lil' island these days are atrocious. You can just get pissed by staring out the window. Not that I stare out of the window all day but hey, I go out for lunch, meet client, etc. For those who know me, I am one who is very much dependent on the weather. Should the weather be sunny, I'd be up and running, being the energetic and crazy me. If weather is otherwise, you'd see me glum and cranky. Weird? Temperamental, I'd say.

Colleague t says we should go VivoCity this Saturday to peek-a-boo. Yes, quite some hype has been going on about this new place and I don't want to be the "mountain tortoise". Though I have to control my spending because I'd be off to KL for a shopping spree during the Deepa-raya holidays with family. Thanks to Mum who had no better idea of where and what to do for our hols.

I badly need donations. Any kind souls who are kind-hearted enough to donate in kind, please drop me a tag or comment and I will contact you directly. Thanks.

In Lalaland.

I am not trying to paint a good picture in my life but I'd like to have it ideal, that's all. Looking around, there's no "perfect" relationship, family and friends.

However, I'd say they can be, to a certain extent. It requires effort and hard work. An example, I was talking to my colleague, I realized that I am very fortunate because my parents respect us as much as we do to them. They don't treat us like a kid, reprimanding everytime.

Take my neighbour two doors away. I hear the mum screaming (yes, literally; how else do you think I could hear her?) at the son every other day, resulting the son's fear to go home. I bumped into the son while I was coming home one evening. Tsk tsk.

I still believe there's a "perfect" relationship and "ideal" family. Perfect and ideal are according to my standards. :)

No, I'm not in some dreamland nor am I in lalaland.

A Little Thought.

Why are the majority of girls's room messy? Clothes draped everywhere. Bags flung on bed. Books on the floor. Makeup all over the room. I don't understand. Why don't these people feel the "yucki-ness"?

Worst still, I know of some females that have a bad habit of being able to find things only when it's messy. If you keh kiang tidy up their stuffs, they cannot find anything. In the end, it's messy again.

What's wrong with these people?

Dinner with teo, froggie, fei, shum, ping, elsie at a Hong Kong style cafe at Liang Seah Street earlier. Great to see them again despite me missing out sooooo many of their gatherings. Hope we'd have more of these dinners, suppers, drinks, lunches, whatevers more, yeah? ;)

I have a new wish for the remaining months of 2006 - to be in office before 9.30am. Since I moved to the new place, I've never been on time. I am either late or very late - 9.30am or 10am. It's disturbing me because I hate coming in and have everything piled on me.

Hope I am able to make it on time at least once because the colleagues don't believe that I can be on time! Hmmp! Just watch out, girls!

Singapore is small & a little randomness.

If I wasn't bored of the SI, I wouldn't know that city I am living in is so tiny. My senior is my #1's classmates's girlfriend and they know each other and yada yada yada and the story continues. Haha!

cellmate, I know you'd say old habits die hard. Yes la, yes la.

Yesterday was a stoney day for me because I went back to office and from a Senior AE, I decided to give the cleaner job a try. -_- We went back to complete the Chinese manual project and I ended up cleaning the entire office with t. We emptied at least FIVE black huge thrash bags which consisted of old and used artcards, old materials that looked like they weren't touched for centuries. Yes, bosses will say, "Keep first. We'd have use for them later." Hello, how later is your later? Hence, THROW! Wahaha!! It's a joy to throw things. :P

Today is supposed to be my oblivion day but I feel that I have yet to be as oblivious as I should be. Urgh. Another oblivion day wasted.

Tomorrow marks the begining of yet another busy week. If only you would behave more like a Head of Art, caring for your designers, all of us will have a happier working environment. Stupid pervert. (Don't ask me how is he pervertish coz it's just another nickname.)

Backup Backfired.

Yes, you've seen it right. I bought an external hard disk last year, remember?

Bloody tart. How to backup like that? Shit, all my stuffs are inside and luckily, I've backup up my mp3s, amounting up to about 10 CDs, with each CD filling up to the max - 680mb. But... but... my portfolio and school projects and my resumes and cover letters and pictures. WALAU! I just feel like tearing the entire hard drive apart and retrieve my much needed files.

If only I could do that. Ask how much it'd be to retrieve my files? Hah! It can amount up to a few grand. Farking pissed!!

Saturday, September 16, 2006

Ewww...!!

I don't know where to start or how to start but I am deeply disgusted by someone who can hold a senior position yet be so cowardly and so childish. Oh gosh.

If you wanted to complain about me, please do so in front of me or to the boss. Not do it unto somebody who is so new to the company. Trying to poison her mind? I think you have no balls.

If you hate my guts, say it so in my face, in front of me. I give no hoot but don't go around sneaking behind my back and critisize me. I think you are childish.

If you detest my working style and want to complain, knock on the boss' door and tell them. Tell them I am lazy, I am not doing my job well, I am not getting things done. Don't try to go around making personal attacks and remarks like, "AEs are sleeping at the back (of office).". I think you are so unprofessional! Aiyoh!

We, AEs do have our reservations about designers but we NEVER make personal attacks or lowly remarks about a specific designer. If we do critisize, it's for work purpose(s) and based on valid reasons.

Eee, I look down on you because you're a grown up man, so much older but you behave like a sissy, unprofessional, childish and cowardly. My heart goes out to your mum and girlfriend (if you do have, that is).

You are such an arrogant bastard who wants EVERYONE to kowtow to you and do things your way. I feel sorry because you do not know the meaning of compromise. Your brain is limited. Tsk tsk. Oh but wait, I don't think you have a brain to begin with. No wonder.

In short, you just hate me for the person that I am - giving you no face, don't suck up to people (you), direct and straightforward. Yet you don't tell me in my face but go round stirring politics in the small office. Walau I cannot stand it because this office barely fits 20 people and we're so honest with each other (except you because you never fit into this family of ours anyway); we don't play politics.

If you want to play politics, fine. I will play mind games along with you and make sure your true colours show to the bosses. Let's see who will be outlived. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. As for you, I wish I could find some balls and wrap them as a gift to you. Unfortunately, don't think any balls can fit you, woman! Such a biatch!

I'd want to thank evil twin for the wonderful Monday evening spent in New York, New York in CityLink Mall. Because of your encouraging words and advice, I will not act uncouth and be a cool and witty person. One who uses brain rather than brawl.

I am hanging on because of evil twin's hope on me and my cut6 Communications. :) I will be strong. Which reminds me, that particular agency called me again. There's a Senior AE opening but that team is doing properties, IT and technology. Hmm not that interesting yet. Anyway, I have hopes, dreams and goals. I am working hard and smart to make sure I realize them than being an empty vessel because they make the most noise. It applies to you, loser. :)

Good night.

Saturday, September 09, 2006

Hi, Good Morning. Let's Have Breakfast.

Been awaken by the constant noisy construction work downstairs that i decided to get up and blog a little.

Check this out! I'm in awe because I never thought Batu Pahat could be searched online and there were so much information about the small town whom my friends didn't think of it a great deal. Only my copywriter thinks Batu Pahat is dammit-ly interesting and he claimed he LOVES it. Then again, I never trust his words. Bah!

If you look under 'Attractions', you can see my school. WHOA! In awe for the second time.

Bosses were away since Thursday and won't return till next Wednesday. That's one whole shiok-a-doodle-doo week for all of us. Hah hah! No one to breathe down the creative team's neck or no one to intimidate them by sitting beside them while they're doing brainstorming or when they're doing work. No one to intercom us to ask us to remind the designer to do certain things when we're all the way at the back of the office and she is just barely one metre away from them. No one to ask us to do silly things that wastes our time and effort. Yes, no one. NO ONE!!

Alright la (in a HK slang) because that's what's we've been trying to do in office for the past few weeks. This new team (of AEs and designers) are a fun bunch, (definitely) refreshing and able-to-take-my-spasms-and-nonsense. Yeah! I feel more relaxed at work because I can de-stress at the same time, same spot. Nice.

I've been telling people how scary is the rate of assimilation here, in Singapore. I will not say from which nationality but if you do know me well enough, you'd know who I am referring to. Don't even ask me over here because I won't reveal them publicly. Remember: NEVER wash dirty linen in the public! ;)

Out of 5, 3.5 are their people. If they just walk pass you, never open their bloody mouth to bloody talk, you'd never guess it's them. Really. They're just like you, me, him and her. They no longer dress shabbily. They are more well-dressed than the poor me who could only don an Esprit top and a G2000 workpants. They are loaded with Swavroski hair clips, Levi's specs, Raoul top, Guess jeans, LV bag and Nine West heels. Bloody tarts ruin this city's (very last bit) gracefulness.

Alright, I shall stop here lest I get more excited over this topic and start my verbal diarrhoea and cause myself legal and political entanglements. Fuck, talk about freedom of speech.

To end it off, tracy tagged me on this:

>> Seven random facts about me:
1. I cannot spell "diarrhoea" so I've to refer to the Dictionary.
2. I hate my current left neighbours because they smell. Badly.
3. I am terrified of any insects. Any. Minus mosquitoes.
4. I can sleep anywhere, anytime.
5. I tend to be long-winded at times when I have so many thoughts flying all over and I cannot
compile them.
6. I love MacDonald's Big Breakfast and that starts off my day in a perfect swing.
7. I suffer from workaholism and occupational hazard.

>> Seven favourite music at the moment:

4. Feng by Jay Chou
5. Wo Ai Tai Mei by MC Hotdog
6. All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey (it's a bit early for X'mas but I like!)
7. My Boo by Alicia Keys.

(They aren't exactly the latest songs, are they? Hey, retro is in! ;P)

>> Seven things I like most:
1. Beauty
2. Luxurious pamper
3. Sleep
4. Wealth
5. Control
6. Fruits
7. Touring the world

>> Seven things I say most:
1. Cannot har? HUH! HUH!
2. Ah lian
3. FISH!
4. What!?!?!
5. Ok, I try. (to my pestering clients)
6. Let me talk to 7. Stupid idiot.

>> Seven lucky people to do this:
1. cellmate
2. evil twin
3. vallium
4. ah peg
5. fy
6. pink jambu
7. ah teo

Disgusted.

I am deeply disgusted by my boss IF the AD is right about her. She actually discredits my words badly. I never thought she's this kind of person but probing further, she has done before. Just to save her ass and her grace. Muthafucka. I hate you, bitch! HATE HATE HATE! I detest your guts and look you no up! PUI!

Ok, done with complaints. Been very busy nowadays even with less accounts. The accounts under my care have been halved and been allocated to the two new AEs. With only four major clients under my care, I definitely have more time to scrutinise each and every (well, at least majority) piece of artwork before emailing to clients and able to give my inputs as well. :)

Having said that, there's a particular client which had a change in personnel recently. He's more fussy, naggy and troublesome than a woman. Really! He speaks and acts like an uncle, too. Aiyo!!

Talk about the new aged guys.

Tears From The Devil To The Pink Jambu.

I got an actual invitation to my dear pink jambu's convocation. I am totally taken aback because none of my friends invited me. Ok, that shows how unpopular I am. I just stepped on my own toes. I meant, no one asked so formally. I am so touched!!

In any case, my dear friend, I am so sorry because I cannot make it as I'm heading back home for something. When I reach home, I will call you, yeah? Despite that, I am very pleased that this day has come for you and I hope that you path from now on will be smooth-sailing. May you get what you wish for all these years. Alright?

Sounds like birthday wishes! Haha. In any case, CONGRATULATIONS, my friend! :D Have a blast on that day because that's the last day (as of now) for you as a student!

Blogging From Another View.

Blogging from the new mattress certainly is a greater experience since moving out. I think tonight marks the beginning of a good night sleep for me, the old bone lady. Hee. I am excited. *glees*

Baby zack's birthday is coming up and I have yet to get his bulldozed and whatever nots. Tomorrow's shopping day. Aii...

It's been a quick yet stressful week at work. I love the fact that time flies by in a blink of an eye but I got through this week safely yet stressfully. So many things, so much worries. Headache every single day.

I have no idea when this is all coming to an end.

One Down. (Some) More To Go.

Got the mattress for a hefty $490. Yes, it's more expensive that the King Koil one that I saw last weekend but this is super single size as compared to the single size that I saw last week. And the best thing is it's arriving on Thursday. Yay yay! That means I have nice thick mattress to sleep on Thursday! :)

Next one will be the Ikea trolley to store my stuffs. Haha. Shopping shopping shopping! I'm broke broke broke!!

The Last Time.

I cannot remember the last time I was that angry. Yes, I appreciate you coming to my new place and bringing us stuffs. But there are times that you step overboard, you stupid old idiotic woman!

Went to Thomson Plaza to get stuffs and chanced upon King Koil mattresses' promotion. I thought no harm taking a look and thus ended up testing. Up till the very last bit, after you have bargained with the salesperson; you said, "Go back and ask auntie first." Walau!

What the fuck is that?!!! I bet the salesperson must be puzzled. Ask auntie? Even the salesperson questioned whether the mattress is for me alone or sharing. We said is for me then even she asked why must we ask auntie.

Hello, excuse me! I am the one sleeping on the mattress, not my auntie ok! Ask her for what?! Fuck man! Do you have any idea how I have been sleeping for the past week? I wake up in the middle of the night, every night with cramps and numbness in different parts of my body. I go into office late and tired everyday and come home stressed out like shit. I SAY AGAIN: I AM SICK OF SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR WITH NO MATTRESS!!!

Threes.

They say all bad things come in threes. Is it true? Has it ever happened to you? I've encounted 2 bad times and each mistake costs a thousand plus. The third mistake is also a thousand plus dollars. I'm already sort of numbed by them and very restless about them already.

I hope by crossing these three hurdles, I am not going to be in the bad bad luck scenarios anymore. Please. I cannot take it. My heart cannot take it. Very soon, bosses cannot take it either and I'll be a salty fish. A very fried one at that.

New house is alright; needs a lot of getting used to. I've also discovered a couple of things that I never encountered before like:

1. I'm getting more little bruises all over me but I have no idea why.
2. My second toe on each leg is numb all day and this has been happening for about half a week.

Does anyone have any idea what is happening?

Back To Familiar Ground.

Don't think there's such a word but I've returned to be a living creature in the West. New house is great except:

1. Lots and lots of cleaning, brushing, unpacking.
2. Smelly & nosey neighbour(s).

Yes, there's only 2 complaints that I have. Other than that, it's great because it is easy access to the park connector which is just downstairs. Gives me no excuse to be lazy. :)

And yay! Internet's hooked up and I am living more like a normal being. Work this month is bad, bad, bad. I had a bad feeling - I'll be a salty fish soon if I don't rid of my carelessness. Carelessness according to her. Fine, you say like that, then like that lor. I only collect paycheck every month, don't expect me to slog my life for you. CRAZY @$$HOLE!!

Anyway, I don't expect her to make me into salty fish first. If there's such a day, I'd make her into salty fish (first)!

Feeling moody for a reason and hence, going to shut down my body now. Byes.

National Day is Packing Day.

For me, yes. I didn't realize I had so much to pack till I moved my lazy butt off the bed this morning because the mover is coming at 2pm to reckee my stuffs & quote me. So I thought I'd better pack my stuffs now. There're no other days that I can do so, anyway.

Been packing since 11am and haven't finished. Rather, I don't have anymore bags to pack in. I'd need boxes. Urgh! Why is moving such a hassle? So tired from the packing and stuffing I am taking a break.

I vommited everything that happened during the past week out to cellmate yesterday night. Thanks for being my listening ear, but hey, you asked for it! Hee hee.

Feel much better after the stupid runaround yesterday. A good stress reliever - sleep and tomorrow is a brand new day! :)

What A Day!

First, I ran all over town to fix the half top shelf. Boss wanted to save money so made me do installations at outlets in town & the East. @*#$&#^&*@^#@($%_)($

After )@(#*$&^%$*$()#&^%*#($# -ing, I finally finished whatever I had with me. Plus a very deep cut on my thumb and my arm.

Despite that, I'd like to express my heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to the staff at Watsons at Lucky Plaza for their aid & care. I cut my thumb there and because it was such a big cut, the blood wouldn't stop oozing. I never felt pain so much in my entire life but today was the first time I squirmed at the wound. Anyhow, they helped me cleant the wound and applied medicine for me and paid for the medicine (a bottle of green Zambuk which they took from their shelf in store.)

I felt so touched and really, felt like tearing. Despite the hard work & nasty days, at least some people made my day by being nice to me.

Thank you, thank you.

Though my wound is still bleeding a little. Haix.

Lost It.

I lost my cool on Thursday evening and lead to a serious incident. Friday was a bad, bad, bad, bad day for me. Anything that could go wrong went wrong and anything that couldn't have gone wrong went wrong as well!! *Heaves a heavy sigh*

I am purely unlucky to have encountered this all at the same time. Must have stepped on some dung unknowingly. (Trust me to joke at this time but other than this, what else can I do?)

So confused and not knowing what to do. At the same time, wished I could undo things and save at a particular moment that I want.

KTV session yesterday night with ex-colleagues, a and tc. TC is such a good singer who can switch her voice anytime. Whoa! I am so impressed. The session was tiring as well because we kept singing those hyper songs and our voice are now coarse. Haha!

Been very tired of everything and I mean, everything that is happening to me lately. I feel very lethargic and sick already. Is it an indicator for me to stop what I am doing and move away. Tell me, tell me, tell me. I am vexed!!

Deja Vu.

On my way to the City Hall MRT at the entrance of Raffles City Shopping Centre; I saw someone from the side whom I thought it who it was. (I am confusing ar? Haha!)

True enough, it turned out to be the person!! *BIG grin* It's been what, 3 years? Since I last saw the person. Since the person left for attachment and graduated. Hahaha!!

Cellmate, I called you to tell you about this excited piece of news; unfortunately, you missed my call. Sighs, too bad. Heh heh.

Went to collect keys for my new pad just now and I am glad we're moving in next week. Soon, soon, soon. :)

One Year Ago. One Year Later.

One year ago, this fateful day, I began my first day in (actual) working life, filled with zest and hopes. One year later, the same day, I began my day by dragging myself out of bed and wished I didn't have to go to work.

If you're thinking why I am blogging at such early hours in the office, you're wrong. I am NOT in the office because of eye irritation so told them I'd be in slightly later. What the heck, I clock more OTs than being late throughout this year.

Also, on this fateful day, I am completing my first step into adulthood. If you do remember my past entry, that is. I've done all 3 items. Moving will be this Saturday which leaves my maternal gramps here alone. Wished it wasn't that fast but if I waited till a couple of months later, I wouldn't be able to secure a decent place.

New home is just beside the park connector which both aunt sp and myself are very, very pleased. It means more time spent on blading and jogging and less excuses to be lazy.

One year ago, I never had to worry about accommodation. Weirdly, one year later, I am moving out. One year ago, I didn't question my salary. One year later, I am thinking of playing some (mind) games.

One year ago, (of course) I was younger. One year later, I am more matured. That means I have to put in more thoughts into my action and I have heavier responsibilities. *Sighs*

Fishy Friday.

(Late) dinner (again) at Manhattan Fish Market, PS with the dudes. Thank you, dudes for the belated birthday makan. Hehe. Feel very fishy today because llunch was FISHball noodles and dinner was salmon. No doubt, they were yummy-licious!

The 2nd happy hour in office but it turned out to be an hour long meeting. What the heck. Happy hours are meant for employees to unwind, not to tag us with stressful meetings like these. No doubt you say, just logistics and stuffs but they're so draining! Especially on Friday evenings.

The intern cried just now due to pressure from me, I guess. She felt bad having to delay our time but seriously, I never blamed her at all. NOT AT ALL. I never blamed anyone (but the client, of course!) for making me stay late in office. Never, not even once. I reckon she is one who crumbles easily under pressure. In any case, I hope she is better and be charged over the weekend because next week there are more battles to fight.

Heck, in our industry, everyday is a battle.

Thanks, cut6.

No doubt it may be overdue by 2 days but Blogger decided to screw up my post on Monday evening. Hmmph!!

Anyhow, I want to say shout: THANK YOU VERY MUCH, CUT6!! Cut5 treated me to an expensive dinner at a Japanese restaurant which serves very nice desserts. Yumm Yumm. They threw in a $30 HMV voucher as well. I'm so embarassed. *blushes*

But really, thanks for making my Monday evening memorable though I must sincerely apologize for being soooo late. :P

A Year Older, A Year Wiser.

Refuse to admit I'm old, I'd love to think that I've gotten wiser as this date approaches me yearly. Haha. This is called being young at heart. :)

Anyway, thanks for the sms-es and calls from my friends on this (supposedly) lovely day. Why do everyone presumes birthdays are lovely days?

Nothing happened to have triggered my thought on that. Just a point to ponder.

Anyhow, Happy Birthday to me. Haha!!

The Birthday Weekend.

I shall start from Friday which I spent the night (till 9.30pm) in office for fcukingSt@rfcukFA. The week had been like a "to hell & back & hell again & again" for me. Simply because boss hired 1 wrong person and not enough manpower and jobs kept pouring in like water under running tap.

Heavy air in the air and temper flew quite a bit (from me, nonetheless; I am always the fierce one, though I have no idea). All of them said I look very fierce and am very fierce. I promise you guys, I am not because I love making mean jokes which if you're not my close people, you won't know.

'Nuff about Friday; which I initially looked forward to because colleagues had planned a dinner & karaoke session for me.

Today was a wake-up-early-view-house-blade-shopping regime. I return a satisfied birthday girl. House viewing session at Clementi was not a success due to some reasons I hate to explain. Blading at Sunset Way (with aunt sp) was terrific and it means I will not go East Coast often now because it's too far. Session was good training for me as well and I found the courage to go faster and fall less (in terms of number of times and impact).

Lunch at Sushi Tei was as usual - fulfilling & satisfying. After rounds in Cold Storage, we discarded groceries and went for coffee at Spinelli's. cellmate, FYI, sp has a fetish for the tea mug which isn't for sale. She's going to make it her "limited edition mug at home". ;)

Received an Adidas tee for my present; so thank you so much, aunt sp. :D Dinner at Soup Spoon was fantabulous as well because it's one of my favourite, too.

So you see, today's fun filled with food & exercise & pressie. Hence, I return home as a happy (premature) birthday girl.

Also, not forgetting those who have wished me: ychuan, michelle; ex-colleague j, e & colleague j who has given me a little gift. Thanks, peeps. :D

Laughing To A Slimmer Me?

Dinner with colleague t & j ended up with cheap & sumptous & hearty & funny & relaxing session. Haha.

We were talking about colleague j taking up hip hop dance lessons and we tried imposing as hip hops. Results? We hip hopped all the way from the hawker centre to the MRT and to our way home and laughed all the way. What a good way to exercise our stomach muscles uh.

Love my colleagues now because they're a nice bunch and very family-like. Just like my second family. Alright, minus the fact that the office sucks but the people are niceeee. :)

Shopping Treat.

My buys from today with the colleague and ex-colleague. Started with shu uemura eye makeup workshop and then off to our spree. Completed my day with a pair of heels, shu uemura eye shadow, mac foundation, a hand wash and a sample of organic soap from B1 of Raffles City Shopping Centre.

It's so happening now that the entire basement is opened! Wow! Sort of made my day. Hehe.

*Yawns* It's time to bathe and hit the bed. Night, all.

The Bread Girl & The Zoom.

You have Little Miss Naughty, Sleepy, etc, etc. I think I deserve the Miss Bready. Downed 6 pcs of toast for dinner. WTF? How did I manage to down so much bread, you ask? Well, if you do not know me well enough, your truly lovesssss bread to the max.

Unlike other days, I find that time passes really fast today, especially. Is it because it's Friday and weekend's here and "WOOH HOO!!"??

I reckoned that I'd reach home at around 7 or 7 plus pm. I only sat down and sent a couple of emails and ding dong a little and the time shot to 8 pm. Ok, time to bathe and after which, I came out of bathroom the clock showed 8.45pm?

What the ...? My usual bath time is only 10 mins or 15 max and you're telling me I took God-knows-how-long minutes?

I feel as if time just flew by too fast. It's scary. I don't have enough time. Help!!

Decomposing Slowly.

I find that it gets more and more tedious for me to wake up each day at a specific time to go to work. Either that or I am lazy and yearn for more sleep (than ever). I sleep at almost 11pm every night yet (except tonight) I cannot wake up at 7am. Why uh?

Despite the regular sleep, I sometimes steal sleeps whenever possible. Meaning - Tuesday was out of office for a whole day photoshoot. The shoot stretched over to 7+ pm. With the client and her boss around, I literally slept under their nose(s) for a good (I think should have) 15 mins. I know my Art Director was overseeing a certain shot and when I woke up, they finished up to the second last shot. WOW! I was amazed.

Either that, I have worms in my stomach? Or is just a kind of disorder? Colleagues said I sleep too much and shake their heads when they hear I can sleep anywhere, anytime, in any position. Yes, I can sleep standing.

Sunday, July 09, 2006

Happy Birthday, me!

Home for the weekend to find out that today is my lunar birthday. Hahaha. Didn't know till it was 2 hours before I leave for Singapore.

Met peg yesterday. Yay! After soooo long, finally caught up with her. *Yawns* though it's only 8.24pm. Been yearning to sleep because the weather is so cooling and nice!!

Plan to wake up at 2am later to watch the Finals of WC and hope for the best. Kekeke!!

Determined.

I am very determined to revisit Melbourne next year because I didn't get enough of the last trip. Hence, I've decided to make a trip there myself to visit auntie bh. :) With or without company. Though I am hoping Mum can go with me again.

Am on MSN with cellmate and I told her about my intention and our long overdue grad trip. I was suggesting fy and I fly over to meet her and leave our traces behind. Hehe.

Planning with fy is easy because we won't be too wishy washy. Too many people is great but cut6 will always procrastinate. Somehow that is in us. :(

I'm going to Australia, no matter what! Will discuss with them when we meet the next time and if there's one more person who can make it, off we fly. Wooh hoo!!

Loss & Joy.

Loss because Germany lost to Italy in WC2006 semi-finals and I lost money. Though it's only a small $5 bet but I bu shuang, can?!!

Joy because fortunately I didn't place a $100 bet on Germany which I wanted to initially else I'd be even more devastated today. Yes, I'm kind of "hiong", huh? $100 is quite alot but I was thinking of making some money since I am a poor kid.

Joy again because I managed to meet Daddy (& his friends) for dinner just now. They came for an exhibition which was disappointing because of the scale. Anyhow, I'm glad I could meet up with him because this weekend, when I go back, he'll be in KL for seminar. Aihh, talk about timing.

I've decided to bang on Italy in the finals this Monday early morning. Must tryyyyy to make some money else I'd forever be lamenting.

I Wish.

I wish for what I have been wishing for all these while. I wish my wish will come true. I wish... I wish... Sounds like a tongue twister?

Blading with shum was good. Except the fact that ECP was swamped with hordes of people. It's always the case. Makes it even harder to concentrate on my route.

Sometimes, I wish my life was more interesting. I need some sparks in my otherwise-dull life. Wonder when the sparks will come?

An Additional Word.

Account Executive -----> Senior Account Executive with a miserly increment of the size of a peanut. Sighs. More work, more crap, but not more pay. Sai!!!

Met princess ma nee on my way back just now which was pleasantly surprised. :) That goes to show how small is Singapura.

The Fishing Line Snapped.

Finally, it snapped. It could not hold on anymore. I was down with high fever that recorded 39.6 Celcius this morning which I think is scary because I never felt so hot in my life before. I felt as if I was floating in the air, not conscious of my surroundings. All these had to spoil my bladry weekend when I had planned today to be the shopping day with my auntie. Fark.

The bag of medicine sort of scares me because I've never taken so much medicine in my course of ill life before. Damn. And my fever is still lingering. Shit.

Pardon for the cursing & swearing because it is such a beautiful day today to be out of the house. Instead, I am squirming on the bed. And not because I want to. Grrrr!!!

Wednesday, June 21, 2006

I Need A Very Thick Fishing Line!!

I am hanging by a fishing line nowadays after colleague j tendered her resignation. Each day, I let it go by and I refuse to face up to reality. I count on her to finish up whatever she could before she goes. New colleague came today. Boss said she is taking over 2 of my accounts whilst she has thrown me THREE other accounts! THANKS huh!

Boss said, "Hopefully, with the new AE coming in, with more AEs, each one services less accounts, there'd be less mistakes and better servicing." Thanks huh! You throw me 3 heavy accounts and took away only 2.

WALAU! I need a fishing line to hang on to. A very thick one at that.

Rude Shock.

As I was walking briskly for my meeting this morning, a few steps down the steps at Somerset MRT, I heard a commotion behind me. I turned around and saw a lady falling down the steps which had shocked me for a good few seconds.

After which, I picked up her things and went to her help along with another lady. She literally fell flat and tumbled down the steps. Luckily the steps weren't very high. Goodness! She was wearing a skirt. I saw her lanyard which proved she is an employee of the same building I am going into for my meeting.

I was so shocked that one could fall so awkwardly! If I were in her shoes, I'd bury myself deep into the ground and I am sure my face will be as red as beetroot. She was calm and the other lady was even more "power". She offered the poor lady plasters and handed her the entire box! Gosh, why would anyone carry an ENTIRE box of plasters around?

I kept reminding myself of the incident earlier this morning throughout the day and stared at my feet. I hope it doesn't befall on me!!

Bad Year With The Old.

This must be a bad year for me with the old folks. Arguement with the old lady back home which was stupid because of her unreasonableness and now, with grandpa also because of his unreasonableness. Nitty gritty things and little things, they love picking on me. And it's groundless accusations.

WTF?!?!

First Step Into Adulthood.

I never had to:

a) buy insurance
b) plan my savings very, very carefully (note: I do plan my savings but never as meticulous)
c) look for a place of my own (which proved to be ridiculously tough)

Now, this is what I term "Welcome to the Grown-up Land".

Happiness Is...

...when Daddy treats me like his little girl.
...when Daddy buys me the good food that I like.
...when Daddy buys my favourite breakfast without the need to ask me my breakfast preference.
...when Mummy treats me like her little girl.
...when Mummy cooks my favourite food.
...when Mummy does all housework for me.
...when I am treated like a little princess when I go home.

I love Daddy&Mummy&sisters&brother. I love my home. :D

The Great Singapore Sale '06.

I took 1/2 day leave today to participate in the Great Singpore Sale (GSS) '06... as the crowd, not a player. Basket, thought I'd get good deal(s). However, much to my horror and my return from Bangkok, things here are more expensive even though they're marked way down. Chey!!

Triumph fair at OG didn't help. For the styles that I want, is buy 3 get 1 free. Yeah, right. One piece is at normal price of $53. SIAO! I could buy the exact same piece in Bangkok at $30; only thing there's no size available. Yes, SY, go back to Bangkok lah!

Ya lah, but cannot help compare, right? Sighs sighs sighs!!

Yesterday, I was a player of the GSS who spent $185 on a DKNY stainless steel watch. Of course, that planted a hugeeee smile on my face.

Lunch today with someone whom I cannot reveal for fear of being tracked down and will adversely affect my job. Thanks to her I get free nice lunch which ended up with both of us being so bloatedly full. Haha!!

Going back to kampung tomorrow and I cannot wait coz I love my mum & siblings so much I want to cuddle them tight and never let go! Hehe. Daddy's not mentioned coz he will be in Singa-island for gold game. *Bawls & wails*

I Am Back With...

1) 2 necklaces
2) 2 Levis T-shirt
3) 1 mini skirt
4) 2 bracelets
5) a pair of earring
6) 2 pashmina (1 for myself, 1 for mummy)
7) a pair of heels (yes, again)
8) a handbag (yeah, I know.AGAIN)
9) 2 pairs of shorts
10) a red spaggie top
11) SNACKS!!! :)
12) a Wacoal you-know-what
13) a dinner bag (for mummy)
14) 3 pairs of shorts (for the sisters)
15) 4 undies (for sisters also)
16) 2 belts

As you can see, I am fully equipped from head to toe. Minus a messenger bag that I have been wanting. That is secondary. I just have a few hundred baht left, hence the urge. However, time did not permit for me to scout around.

Plus, the food was marvellous. I cannot forget the seafood we had at Chinatown, particularly the crab meat with yellow curry powder. And the fried rice. And the morning glory. We ordered about 5 dishes and it cost us only 770 baht (for 4 persons). How cheap is that?

Oh, massages, too! First night was Thai massage and second night was full body massage. Oh, I really want to go back there! I do, I do!!

I want to save enough to buy loads more back for my new room, which I have yet to start looking. Heh.

I am back a satisfied shopper and a happier person. Broke? Hmm, not really because I only exceeded by SGD50. Hehe. :D

Off-ing.

I'm flying off (again) in 10 hours' time to Bangkok for the company incentive trip. Ask me if I am excited, I give you a bored expression. You didn't see me posting all my hype about this trip on my blog, do you? That says it all.

Why am I not excited?

1 - Not much money left to spend, after my shopping in Melbourne.
2 - Not going with the perfect company (ie with the 2 cartoons, not my fellow colleagues).
3 - Just not excited.

Flyaway.

In the DHL Giant Balloon Ride. Haha! That's what colleague a and I did after we swiftly finished our work. We had the coupon and printed them and up we went. Nevertheless both of us were petrified of the height. Nonetheless, I did better than I expected. As one who has acrophobia, I thought I'd not be able to steal glances down and would be stationary. Nop, we did a ring-a-round the balloon which amazed me. Overall, yes the experience is rather cool. And nice.

Because I have no money to go overseas and experience romance in hot air balloon!

Had a 10 minutes talk to papa yesterday and it has brought light to me. I thank pop for being a wonderful person to me. As my boss, my dad, my sponsor (hehe) and my confidant. :))

History loves repeating itself on me

I hate History because I have to memorise every single detail back in school. I hate History because I didn't think it would benefit me much learning the details. I hate History more now because I found out that it loves repeating itself one me.

The interview was scheduled tomorrow afternoon and within 30 minutes, it was cancelled because the team found another person (girl) whom they are quite keen on hiring. Pooh! Fine! Spoils my day.

All bad things come in three, I was told. So I've surpassed 2. I wonder what's the third. Blardy hell man!

To my blog readers, if you haven't noticed my pun on my previous post's last sentence; FYI, I jolly well know that it's ovation, ok! Too bad for your if I sound nasty but you guys hit me on my bad day.

Seeing Is Believing.

If I hadn't watched Season Premiere of Singapore Idol 2 on Channel 5 today, I wouldn't believe there are so many entertainers out here in Singapore. I thought only the States has that many.

Weird antics, funny personalities and bad & incorrect pronunciation is the worst. Goodness. One thing good that turns out from here is that Singapore will have no lack of entertainers.

I really am loss for words for those bravos out there, I tell you. Really. We should have a standing ovulation.

K To Our Fatigue.

Nearly died of fatigue after 5 hours of K-Box session with cut6. It's been a planned outing since April, the last time we met.

Lunch at PepperLunch at Dhoby Ghaut XChange and we moved on to K-Box at Paradiz Centre; where we crooned to our favourites for 5 hours. My first karaoke session in my life (so mountain tortoise, isn't it?) and I ended up with a souless body. Despite that, we enjoyed thoroughly especially our finale whereby we sang Shin's "Tian Gao Di Hou" which brought all of us to a greater height of the day. Hehehe.

Meanwhile, till the next session of chilling out with meanest, minah, ma nee princess and comatozzz; we're to sit down and properly discuss our graduation trip. FYI, we graduated some time back. -___-

Once In A While Indulgence.

Giving myself "fake happiness" because I received a call from an agency asking if I am still interested in them. Why so happy, you might ask. I've rejected them once when they called me after I started working for a month. Nearly 8 months later, they called me and asked if I am still keen in exploring new opportunities.

As I was telling mum, I feel as if I was headhunted. (Of course not, silly! They just need some small fly to fill up the vacancy.) Hehehe. Let me be happy for a second, can??

Once a while, it's good to indulge. It makes life easier, makes you happier. Just like indulging in Ben&Jerry's once in a while. :)

The Missing Puzzle.

I'm missing one piece of puzzle. One piece and it will be complete. A tour in Friendster reminds me of a wee bit of my past not too long ago. I wouldn't say one piece and my life is perfect. Complete and perfect are different. Complete may no necessary mean perfect. You get me?

As I thought I could be having some quiet time for 10 days, someone I don't want to see for as long as I could decided to come back this Sunday. HURH!!! *MSN angry face*

Every Little Step.

Is a careful thread not to plunge deeper into the mountain full of swords planted by someone familiar. This is threatening but at the same time, training me.

That aside, the weekend spent back home was truly good. Because time was spent with family & friends and someone hateful isn't home to dash all my good hopes & good times. :D

Wrap Up.

In about 5 hours' time, I'd be in my lovely home. Heading home in the middle of the night is probably my first experience. Of course, nothing exciting to see as I will be sleeping in the car. Haha! That's so me.

I went to jess' graduation exhibition today and met up with the rest of cut6. Yes, during office hours but I am a smart worker who works my schedule and timing so that I can squeeze in my personal schedules.

In any case, I am happy because I finally got to see cut6 (minus cellmate) again and we're resuming our next activity next week. :)

This week hasn't been too bad except we thought that our weekly meeting with the bosses is redundant and not productive. Talked about rubbish and wasted our time. Hmmph! Then again, what's new?

You Just Got To Make It RIGHT.

RIGHT time, RIGHT place, RIGHT person(s) and you strike. There's a Chinese saying, "tian shi di li...(something something)" I cannot agree more. You must be thinking I am weird, why am I spouting nonsense like that? Well, it's no nonsense because one wrong step brings you to another level of disparity. Anyway, 'nuff said.

I've been tagged by cellmate and being the nice "tam jiak" (Hokkien for "greedy pig") cellmate I am, I shall fulfill her wish. FYI, cellmate, I didn't bring the shell from the-you-know-where-place because we didn't order much tonight and didn't order that.

Here goes:

Four jobs I've had:
Assistance to designer(s)
Intern, IF, KL
*Oh shucks, I didn't even hold 3 jobs! FYI, question's in past tense so my present job doesn't count.

Four movies I could watch over and over:
How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days
*I don't like watching movies over and over.

Four places I've lived:
Whitley Road
Sarkies Road
Clementi Road
That's it.

Four TV shows I love:
CSI
CSI:Miami
Grey's Anatomy
Amazing Race

Four places I've vacationed:
Melbourne
Tioman Island
Langkawi
Port Dickson

Four of my favourite dishes:
Prawn noodles
Fish porridge
Homecooked food

Four sites I visit daily:
Gmail
Office email (is bad habit to check your mail after office, so I am trying to kick it)
Google (I always have something to Google, no matter how trivial)

Four places I'd rather be right now:
In bed
Bed
Under blanket
Bed
*As you can see, I love the bed and the warmth of my blanket.

Four people I'm tagging:
evil twin
zeroimpact
winnie
peg

Now, I'm off to bed. *Big yawn*

No Walk In The Park.

An eventful weekend and one of the most heart-wrenching weekend I had back home. On top of the saga that happened between me and thewomangonemad, the next most disheartening to hear is from a close friend of mine whom I met up with.

We grew up together, with our "wars" and bonding time and I saw her sister growing up as well. Little did I know that her sister has turned into someone whom is beyond any logical human comprehension. It saddens me because watching her sister from a little girl whom I dote on to someone out of control tells me that a human is capable of anything. It saddens me that her mum is so upset, sacrifices so much and is having a hard time because she is someone I respect and care for and she dotes on me a lot, too. It saddens me because the burden my friend holds is way too much for someone her age and I wished I could help her but what I can do is limited. I, of course will help as much as I can.

Another heart-wrenching incident came from (another) supposedly good&close friend of mine who had to question my integrity. I see no point in relating the entire story simply because she has found out the truth and it's over.

The only thing that surprised me when I had to handle the 1st and 3rd heart-wrenching issue is that I am not even heated up. I remained calm and composed and did what I should do - speak truthfully. I think this must have been the constant asking for a peace of mind.

Strength.

Life has been rather good to me at times but most of the time, it's the contrary. I expected a good break when I came home this morning but hell no, someone decides to make life difficult for me. Accusing me and telling me off for nothing, purely because this is her nature. And she knows it.

Made me so upset, I cried so much that I don't recall the last time I did so. FINE. Never mind, you're deliberately picking on me simply because you thought I wouldn't retaliate. Let me tell you, I ain't the same person you could control a few years ago. I am officially an adult and have my own mind, now firmer and stronger. I will NOT let you accuse me of something I NEVER did. Plus, I have witness that I am NOT guilty.

You always want to have the upper hand, want to win though you have lost every.single.time because you are unreasonable, evil, twist others' words and eat back your own words. We have nothing to fear for we are not in the wrong. Should a punishment be passed, it will not be on me.

It's alright. You can be my training to be a stronger and better person. I realize I don't get sooooo angry over your words now, as compared to last time. If I can deal with people like you, I am sure I can handle whatever clients in my field of work.

This issue aside. My supplier-turned-friend informed me of a big decision yesterday, over lunch. Her husband is sent to Scotland for overseas posting and she has decided to quit her current job and follow suit. I was so shocked upon hearing it. Truth is, I am sad to part with her because she has become a very nice friend whom I can rely on. In any case, I wish her all the best in Scotland. :)

A Tribute Post.

HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY, MY DEAR PINK JAMBU. I am so sorry I missed it and I cannot believe I did. Though I felt very uneasy and as if something was amiss and I've forgotten something. I deserve to be punished. But I am sure you love me too much you will forgive me. :P See, I am nice because I didn't reveal your age in my birthday wish!

On a sad note, I have to move out soon in another 6 months. Maximum. All happened too sudden and happened because auntie is pregnant and we came up with the conjecture that she won't be going back to China in October, as planned. Sighs! Another headache is here before the previous one is over. Grr!!

Post Trip Entry.

Back to office after one week of proper inactivity. Everything I did today was in slow motion. Didn't want to move faster than I should. Why must I? I am being paid this meagre of wage a month, why should I slog hard for you?

I feel a little feverish, coupled with itchy throat and body ache this morning. Mum experienced the same too. Apparently it's the change in climate. But no leh, everytime I come back from holiday, I will fall sick. *frown*

Colleague w and I were talking today. Should I want to migrate to a Western country, I would work as a barrista in a coffee joint or a garderner. Because skilled workers are very much sought after and they can survive with these jobs in Western countries.

Finally, I am done.

Yes, I am done with the pictures. Renaming, resizing and uploading them took me the entire afternoon. Phew! I didn't take pictures of my buys though. Hehe. Will take them another day, when I am less tired.

Yesterday was an entire day of rotting and today, I've decided to do some work. Who knows the entire afternoon is taken up. Aii. Time passes by so swiftly. Can't it slow down a little?

Hello, Singapore.

Noticed the title of my previous post had an exclaimation mark after the city's name. It denoted my excitement. This title has a full-stop which denotes my unenthusiasm back in this island. Very often, it's like that.

5 days in Melbourne has brought me to a greater height in life. (Fuah, sounds so chim. Read on.) I've managed to brush aside my work and let my hair down (no more long hair to let down though) and enjoy my holiday. Now, this is truly what I call holiday. Stress free, no worries, fresh air, slow pace; though boss sms-ed and called me once. But I managed to brush her aside, in a cool manner. Haha! One should learn when to grip on and let go.

This year is a travelling year for me, definitely. Melbourne in April, Bangkok in May. Apparently, my company is planning a trip to Bangkok next month. I will be going for holiday with cut6 in July. Sighs, I am going broke, very broke.

Will someone please donate some funds to me?

Hello, Melbourne!

This is my 3rd day in Melbourne and I feel like I've gained 5 kgs. I do nothing but eat, walk and sleep. I eat more than the other 2 activities.

My first day here saw me wrapping up in layers and layers of clothes. So cold, I didn't think there was a need to wear lingerie. Really. Also, maybe I was too tired from the 7.5 hours flight, I slept my afternoon off. Mum & auntie had a very very hard time waking me up. aunt bh had to literally use a cold tower over my face to wake me up. But I still laid stagnant, on the bed. She had to pull me up from the bed.

2nd day - shopping at Chadstone Shopping Centre, the largest mall in Melbourne. However, we didn't get anything because things were not cheap. Though the difference between AUS and SGD is a mere 1.2. After spending half (almost) of the day at Chadstone, we adjourned to Westfield Shopping Centre, a suburb mall near aunt bh's house. I only bought a pair of Havanna's slippers. Sucker, instead of buying in Singapore, I buy them here. Siao!

3rd day - Victoria Market. Heaps of fruits and stuffs to look at! I bought a handbag, 1 pair of working heels and a pair of dinner heels. Crazy, right? My cousin went back to Singapore and bought heaps of shoes whilst I chose to shop here. Of course, I am a smart shopper who goes for cheap & good deals! =) The best buy of the day has to be my AUS$4 black spaghetti top. Haha! I'm one satisfied pig.

I am so tired now because of the entire day of walking. So, pardon me whilst I indulge in my chocs and tea! Hehe. :P

Movie Marathon.

Ping, shum and I had some crazy idea yesterday when we got together. From a simple meetup over dinner to dinner&movie (Take The Lead) then dinner&midnightmovie. Ultimately, the one who was complaining about tiredness and inability to stay awake (read: me) came up with a silly idea.

To watch TWO midnight movies at one go, one after another. After which, have breakfast and take the MRT/ bus home. Had this idea because I didn't want to take cab home with midnight surcharge.

So, it was decided. Take The Lead then Hostel. Hostel is R-21. It's a horror movie, alright. But it's not the kind of ghostly horror movie. It's the ghastly, gruesome horror. Can say we wasted time and money in this movie. Initially it looked like mild porn movie then became gruesome, to some extent, shum & I covered ourselves as the scenes were disgusting.

Take The Lead is way better though I slept through half of it. Haha! Anyhow, I managed to catch the last part and ohhh, how I love the dancing scenes! I think ballroom dancing is so nice and elegant and gorgeously sexy! Ooohhh.. now it makes me want to learn it even more.

Ok, time to wake up and be real. I have to pack for my little getaway. Nothing's been packed yet! Oh, packing. I hate packing.

(edited at 11.18pm)

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that on my way back home this morning, about 7am, when the train stopped at Orchard, in came three persons, one of which is a Mediacorp male actor by the surname Cao. Wah! He looks really handsome in real life. His complexion looks good, too. However, he's a little weird. Not sure if he's on camera (which I doubt so 'coz there weren't any crew). He purposely sat beside a sleeping man and pretended to doze off and leaned towards him. It looks like Gotcha! kind of scene. He did it several times and the innocent passenger looks shocked at this irritable act. Haha!!

I have yet to pack. Not a single bit. Feel so lazy to move and am a loss as what to pack. I probably will do "rubbish packing", ie simply put together a few pieces of clothings and let mum see tomorrow when she comes over. She will then go beserk at my choice of clothings and tells me what to bring and what not. Haha! Isn't that brilliant? =)

The Countdown Begins.

3 more days before I'm leaving on a jet plane. Haha! I'm so looking forward to this little break. Little because it's only a short 5-day break. When I come back, I'll be swamped with work that can pile on me and flatten me. Oh, that's good because I need not spend energy and money on slimming. Hmm... *ponders wonders*.

We had a loooooong meeting with the bosses today and they seem quite worked up and sensitive over some issues that were brought up. Hello, do we look like we're out to "cheat your money"? Stupid. The man just don't get it! How apt, this phrase.

My client went to Phuket for her short getaway last weekend. Overall, not too expensive. So, I'd strongly put this across to my cut6 that we go Phuket. Yes, I know, it's only me (and pw) who insisted on Bintan. But hey, both of us really thought we were heading to Bintan mah!

I'm drop dead tired at work today. Feel so restless, no energy to move on and charge towards the goal. I'm really hoping gold will drop on my head or a good man comes along and I snatch him and voila! I need not work.

He must be equipped with looks, body and wealth. I will then be able to enjoy and waste my time going for high teas, shopping at Milan, tours at Europe when I am bored, go spa once a week. You know, the typical tai-tai lifestyle.

Alright, I think it's time I wake up and be real. If there's a guy like this, he'd be somebody else's boyfriend or husband. Never my turn. Sian.

Male readers, if you think you fit in the bill, please do not hesitate to leave your details. Note: only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Ok, 'nuff babbling. I'm outta here.

Sultana-ed.

At the rate that I am going, it's little wonder I won't put on weight. Marks & Spencer's sultana biscuits are really heavenly!! I finished them within one week of opening. Goodness, it's really to die for.

I think I am having pre-trip jitters. (Don't think there's something like that in the medical field but is something I came up with.) I am begining to think my one week in Australia isn't going to be superbly exciting; since my auntie doesn't advocate nightlife. Sighs. Somehow, it feels more fun travelling with friends. It's just not the same.

I want more sultana biscuits.

Revised.

Looks like I have to come up with a new wish list for Melbourne trip. Cousins said it's autumn and they don't have what I want - beach stuffs. FINE! Hmmph. What lousy timing. In any case, it's trip with a mission. So, don't complain.

I have decided. When I start looking for a new place, one of the pre-requisite is a complete kitchen. Ie, with a workable oven. My current place has an oven but it's not workable. Australia younger cousin came back last year and both of us tried baking. The moment we turned on the oven, BOOM! Blackout. Happy Baking, it said. -_- Irritating nincompoop.

Hence, in the event that you out there, yes, YOU who reads this sentence. If you are rich enough or charitable enough, donate an oven to me. So that I can bake to my delights and satisfaction. I have found great recipes which are so easy but I cannot proceed because I am stucked - no oven to preheat. Sighs.

I've done some homework on the Bintan trip. Somehow, it isn't as cheap as many claim. How?

Countdown Begins.

Countdown begins for my Australia trip. Countdown begins for my fresh chapter in another approximately 1.5 months. :) I seriously hope I do have enough motivation and energy to start the new chapter.

My brain cells are mainly killed due to the numerous irritating, disgusting and brainless people I deal with. I need to do thousand and one things but I have no energy. I need to:

1. Exercise. Haven't been moving an inch for 3 weeks. No blading, no swimming, no (free) gym.
2. Housekeep my computer. Need to backup some files, update some files.
3. Research on Melbourne to make my trip more memorable.
4. Get more tan. Haha!!
5. Clear as much work as possible before going on my one week break.
6. Research on Bintan trip with cut6.

Sighs, so many things, so little time. So irritating. Especially these days, I have an ultra demanding idiotic irritating disgusting crazy female client. Don't give me crap that because it's a F&B industry. Your summer will eventually become a jungle and will be autumn already! Never mind if you readers don't understand.

And cellmate just told me that Melbourne is a good place to shop. I should have gone to Body Shop there. Yah, thanks for informing. You purposely, right! Blek :P

I wish to get:

1. Beach slippers
2. Chocolates that aren't available in Singapore. cellmate said it's FRY'S.
3. Tops
4. Skirts with summer motifs, hopefully.
5. Sling bag
6. Chocs and more chocs.
7. And oh, how can I forget my beloved all time favourite fruits? I want berries, all kinds of berries! *Beams with delight*
8. (Will think of more, if necessary).

Why do I want to get beach slippers there? Because I don't see any pair here that fancy my eyes! Item 2, 3 & 4 - coz I am sick with the ones I see in this island. Of course, hopefully, they're on a special scheme - "Mum&Dad Sponsorship".

Alrightie, time to tuck in.

Burst.

It's only the second day of April and my budget for this month is burst. Left with $70. *Breaks into cold sweat*. The breakdown:

1. Hair cut & dye - $144 (Wah! 6 bucks cheaper than previous times.) In case you don't know me, this is a sarcastic remark.
2. Top - $23
3. Body Shop - $45
4. Casual slip on - $16.90

How can anyone splurge so much in Body Shop, you ask? Well, my intention was to get the tea tree foam wash 'coz it was on promotion. Stepped into the shop and saw my papaya body wash which I absolutely love ($10.90) and the aromatherapy oil were on sale. 2 bottles for $12.90. And since I buy quite frequently from them, I thought might as well top up another $10 for th e membership. They gave me the Peppermint body wash as welcome gift. -_-

I'm crazy, I'm such a shopaholic. Some are alcoholic, I think at times, I am both. Heng this month I am away for a week so that will cut down some spending (here). I am now thinking what can I shop for in Melbourne. Any ideas, anyone?

I'm going to start saving like there's no tomorrow (after Melbourne) because of these targets:

1. Bintan trip with cut6
2. A new laptop next March
3. Moving out (soon) to a place I call my home. However, I have yet to source for the place leh. Preferably, I can get a place in the East, near the beach which will make me a doubly happy girl. Or, aunt bh's place in Braddell which is quite expensive leh.

For now, I just want to rot on my bed wihlst admiring my hair. I am like that everytime I come back from my stylist, BLEH! Also, I am drop dead tired. Laundry awaits me in the bathroom and in the room (for ironing). Irritating cousins yelling outside. Boring, boring Sunday.

I feel like a big piece of fat pork because I haven't moved a muscle for 2 whole weeks. SIGHS! The laziness bug has hit me again.

The Last Bit.

Airfare - checked.
Passport - checked.
Air tickets - checked.

What's my last bit? Wait for the day to arrive lor, what else? ;) My designer said, "You're so lucky!" Yeap, I agree. :) Cannot help it since I am adamantly asked to go. Haha!

The only thing is mum said, "You'd better save your own money for expenses hor. I've paid for the air tickets." Hah! No...it'll be on Daddy. :) Hehe. Bad kid, I am but well, I am mean.

-----
Designer j raised his voice at me today. Walau! You cannot keep up with the pace, you bottle up your stress and let the cork go at me? Cock lah you! Crazy. I look like a small, green & young girl you can bully huh? Please hor, I may be young and fresh in this industry (think not anymore) but I am also a human. A quick-tempered one. So if you'd want to thrash it out, let's see who explodes faster and more violent.

I've told myself to not be so quick-tempered. As colleague j adviced, I must curb this quick temper of mine. Yes, ma'am. I am trying.

Past week was splendid for dinner with cut6 (minus cellmate). First time, I became a villian. Being nasty to the cafe manager. But hey, his people had bad attitude, bad and DIRTY service! How can we tolerate DIRTINESS? NO WAY!! Bleh!

In any case, I shall accumulate good karma from now, as much as I can. Otherwise, I've to fork out my own money for the trip leh. Hehehe.

It's Approved.

Hip! Hip! Hooray! My 5-day leave is approved and so I was greedy and asked for leave (again) this coming Monday to go back home to do up my international passport and visa and what nots.

Yes, your truly here is so pathetic that I don't have an international passport. Been travelling to and fro Singapore with my lauyar blue restricted passport. Can or not? Sheesh.

So the boss' eyes turned bigger than goldfish (for the second time) when I asked for Monday off. But do I care? Hell la.

So, I'm one more baby step to flying. Yay!!

Dream Come True, Almost.

If everything goes smoothly, I'd be leaving on a jetplane to Melbourne on April 15th. IF, that is. Price wasn't as what aunt bh said. It's more than that. Sighs.

But this is almost a dream come true. As if wads of money dropped on me from the sky, no conditions attached. Just take and spend!

All expenses paid to Melbourne. Oh, I certainly hope it comes true! Thanks, papa & mama. Thanks, aunt bh. Thanks, gramps!

Spoilt Brat.

Some people deserves to be told off. I was only short of releasing the steam just now. Hello, in a small agency, one should help one another. You cannot always depend on us to pave the way for you so nicely.

A junior designer was tasked to do a brochure which the client specifically requested that the cover is an adaptation from a poster that was done by the previous designer. Hence, I traced back the job number and told her the file is in so-and-so's computer. Instead, she turned around and wants me to find the file for her. Harlow, I've already traced the file, job number and the source computer. All you have to do is to go to the specific computer and get the file. What is your fucking problem?

Barking at me saying that j (my Acct Servicing colleague) always do that. Hello, I am not her, alright! Plus, if the file has been backed up in a CD, I'd definitely trace the CD and put in the job bag for you; like I usually do.

So, you think I wrote this with much anger. But no, I wrote this with objectivity. Why can't she learn to be more flexible and resourceful instead of waiting for the silver spoon? So, I need to feed the food to your mouth, is it? Do I have to make you burp, too?

Grow up!!

The Graduate.

I have graduated from the roller blading class. But that is only Part 1 of my adventure. I'm still blading at a turtle speed. :( If only they held competition for slow coach, I'd emerge the winner, hands down.

In any case, it was fun. But there's so many things to learn and polish that I've set my heart to do. :D Will go practice every week (if possible) and will go to Part 2.

I woke up early to day (at 10.30am!!) to go for a swim-and-tan down at aunt sp's place. SO NICE! Her place is not fully occupied so I had the pool to myself for the entire morning and till early afternoon. Of course, staying out in the sun for so long has been what I've been yearning for all these while.

And the results? Tadah, I'm a roast pig!! ;)

I am no Bill Gates.

I had a "loose" week at work from Monday to Thursday. In came Friday when I thought I could scot off at 6+ in the evening. But hell, boss decided to ask me to do the PowerPoint for a client on the basis "...because I think you're quite good in PowerPoint." Hell, you think so because you don't even know the basic!

You think PowerPoint is no big deal. But the big deal comes in when the client request that we do up the template for them. You know, the "Master Slide" settings. You mean you don't know how to do that? The client wants us to "embed" the background so that they stay stagnant and look more professional. Hell, you're from a big company and you're implying to me that you small-fry secretary doesn't know how to do that.

Stupid, right? And you want this enlarged, this smaller, this and that. I stayed in office till 8pm to put up with your stupid requests. You want high-res, super sharp pictures but file size is limited to 500kb. Hello, I am no Bill Gates; I am only a humble person with no more than $500 worth of fortune under my belt.

You want cheap and fresh? Go look in Cold Storage, the fresh food people!!
