Pa.na***** i.de.as. f.or l.if.e

first day at work: i was assigned to a certain strategic planning director but unfortunately, he was off in Hong Kong for some training and so i was under his assistant. my first task is to do competitive analysis of P.an.a***** and i was stucked with it till about 3.30p.m. colleagues are nice, generally. they are seated in a cubicle that fits two. they hardly use email, unless it's for people upstairs. yeah, upstairs. there are two floors. 8th floor houses the account management and strategic planning people. media, creative, traffic, studio bla bla, not forgetting the big shots are on the upper floor. there are a couple of "cool" people aruond here. ok, they are quite cool, all of them.

sighz, i don't like the hostel. but oh well, it's just the beginning so i shan't complain. when i have adjusted fine to it, it's time i leave the place. hah!! i sort of miss the lil' kiasu island. miss sms-ing the friends, miss catching up with them after work (if they do), miss taking the buses and trains. i don't know how the public transportation in kl work yet. took a cab to office this morning.

ok, meano's right. most advertising people smoke. out of five that i know, 4 smoke. i had a shock when my colleague asked me this morning, "Do you smoke?" i went point blank and stared at her and went like "Huh? Who? Me?" that was about 9+ in the morning!!

apparently those working for the C.el*** account are very very stressed out. one of them smokes early in the morning. just about when work starts. almost everytime i run up, i see her smoking. stressed hah! and my cubicle-mate (yuks! what kinda name is that?! hahaha) just fished out her second ciggie in 2 hours? ok, that's quite normal already, i suppose.

and i think i smell of ciggies. which i absolutely detest to the core.
